Common questions
Answers to what most people ask before their first call
What is a private trust structure?
A private trust is a legal arrangement where a trustee holds and manages assets on behalf of designated beneficiaries. Common examples include irrevocable trusts and 508(c)(1)(a) ministry trusts. We provide education on how these commonly work and help prepare the documents, so you can have informed conversations with your attorney and CPA.
Do I need a certain amount of wealth to start planning?
There is no minimum. This service is about understanding how documentation and structuring work for what you have — a growing business, investment properties, or retirement assets. Many clients come to us while actively building their business, not after they've accumulated significant wealth.
Is this legal or financial advice?
No. Vermilion Vitez provides educational and document-preparation services only — not legal, tax, or financial advice. We always recommend clients consult a licensed attorney or tax professional for advice specific to their situation. Our education-first approach means you arrive at those meetings with vocabulary and informed questions.
What is the difference between a trust and an LLC?
LLCs create a separate legal entity for your business. Trusts, especially irrevocable structures, work differently and can serve different purposes, including generational transfer outside of probate. Many business owners use both together. Which combination fits your situation is a question for a licensed attorney familiar with your assets, state law, and goals — we can help explain the concepts and prepare documents once you've decided on a direction.
