Do I need a registered agent in every state I am qualified in?
Yes. Every state requires a foreign-qualified entity to keep a registered agent with a physical street address in that state, and to keep that appointment current with the Secretary of State. It is the one requirement that does not vary by state — only the agent you use can.
What is foreign qualification?
Registering a company formed in one state to do business in another. The company stays a Wyoming (or Texas, or Delaware) entity; the second state issues a certificate of authority, assigns its own annual filing, and requires a registered agent there. "Doing business" is defined state by state, which is why the board links to each state's own filing page.
Does this file my annual reports?
No. The consolidator maps each state's recurring filing and due rule and puts every state under one registered agent so the notices arrive in one place. You file each report yourself, or order the filing from us as a separate service. A person confirms every deadline before a reminder goes out.
