The formation fee is a one-time charge. The registered agent fee returns every year, so the renewal decides the bill. State filing fees are the same whichever company files, so they are left out of every total below. Registered agent service from Vermilion Vitez is provided by Registered Agents Inc., the registered agent of record; Vermilion Vitez is the reseller. Five providers side by side

Each figure is the provider's own published price, checked October 30, 2026. These are not checkout quotes and can change. Northwest's pages refused an automated fetch on October 30, 2026, so its figures are the ones last read on October 23, 2026; confirm them on the page before ordering. Bizee does not list a renewal price on the pages we read, so we don't guess one.

Frequently asked questions

Which LLC service includes a registered agent?

Northwest Registered Agent's $39 package and every Bizee package include one year of registered agent service, as of October 30, 2026 on their own pages. ZenBusiness and LegalZoom sell it separately ($99 first year then $199/yr, and $249/yr). Vermilion Vitez adds it at $74.25 a year through Registered Agents Inc., the registered agent of record, and the price stays the same every year.

Why does the registered agent renewal matter more than the formation fee?

The formation fee is paid once. The registered agent fee comes back every year for as long as the LLC exists, so a low first-year price that renews higher can outweigh a $0 formation fee within a few years. Over five years the renewal is four of the five payments.

Are Northwest Registered Agent alternatives cheaper over five years?

At published prices, Vermilion Vitez totals $495 over five years against $539 for Northwest, $895 for ZenBusiness and $1,245 for LegalZoom, before state fees. Northwest has the lowest first-year bill, though, and includes a business address and mail scanning that we sell separately. Bizee's renewal isn't published, so it can't be compared.

Do state filing fees differ between services?

No. The state charges the same filing fee whichever company files for you, so it is left out of every total on this page. What differs is the service fee and the registered agent price.

Is Vermilion Vitez a law firm?

No. Vermilion Vitez prepares and files business documents and provides education. It does not give legal, tax or financial advice and refers clients to licensed professionals for advice on their situation.
